“AWARE”

While mental well-being has been increasingly emphasized, the working class may be too busy to become aware of their own mental status. Also, many fail to seek help when needed (whether intentionally or unintentionally). On top of the preexisting difficulties one may be facing, we are often “marketed” with unnecessary negativity by mass media. How can we raise awareness for one’s mental without making it another burden?

 

Stress v. Working Memory

Extreme emotional experiences were found to be harmful to our working memory, which we rely on, greatly, for our daily functions. Stress, which we often experience alongside negative emotions, may also be one of the factors that damages the working memory process. Here, we seek to discover whether stressful scenarios could negatively impact the accuracy of one’s working memory.
