About

In hopes to spread awareness for mental hygiene

Cell phones have become a significant part of the society during the past decade, integrated into almost every aspect of our lives. With the lengthened screen time every day, the influence of mass media is stronger than ever. Advertisements on social media market the “ideal body types”; influencers share images of their “perfect” lives; TV shows demonstrate the “correct” ways to live one’s life. These idealized images of others can induce extra anxiety and depressive mood for individuals who may have different experiences. It is surprising how this type of “digital anxiety” may spread. In this project, I hope to seek a way to support this smartphone-addicted generation, to create something that could be of help to those who may be in need, or just anyone who may be interested.
